IETM Campus Meet-Up // Riga
An informal IETM Campus Eleusis 2019 and Fuzine 2018 gathering. A group of independ-ent cultural professionals gathered to map our career trajectory supports each other and explores innovative methods to overcome withstanding structural hurdles and enjoy HOMO NOVUS Festival 2019.

Eleusis
As part of the fifth edition of IETM Campus, organised in partnership with Eleusis European Capital of Culture 2021, Sara was one of twenty-seven professional selected to participant in a week of intensive training in all aspects of international working. Alongside a group of tutors we discussed various topics of international working: from intercultural communication, negotiating, funding and planning, to dealing with press and public.
IETM Plenary Meeting - Porto
One of twelve British Council Bursary Winners. Sara attended the IETM Porto Plenary meeting. This allowed Sara to gather alongside five hundred other performing arts organisations and individuals working in contemporary performance in Europe and beyond, to discuss the role of arts professionals have within evolving cities.

Edinburgh
Sara was one of eight artists in this year's Artist Development Programme as part of the British Council's Edinburgh Showcase, alongside the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The programme allowed Sara to expand her artistic practice, meet international funders, promoters and artists and continue building international partnerships as she delves more deeply into working
internationally.
Artist Development - Havana
Following performing at the London 2012 Olympic the opening ceremony, Sara had the privilege of joining the
Cuba Danza programme hosted by
Danza Contemporanea de Cuba in Havana. Exploring Afro Cuban
Contemporary, Ballet and folklore dance techniques. Following this, she travelled to Santiago to work alongside
Danza del Caribe dance company
putting existing her learning into practice.
International Exchange
Programme - Rio de Janeiro
Awarded the Neriah Kumah Legacy fund and supported by One Dance UK. Sara produced, project managed and delivered an international exchange project working alongside four Brazilian outstanding dance organizations and professional companies. This unique opportunity enabled Sara to deepen her knowledge of Afro Brazilian techniques, share personal
movement methodologies with artists.
International Outreach Programme
Media (Brazil)
A groundbreaking spring bord project which in collaboration with Meninadanca, Sara (as a cultural producer) embarked on an international trip to Brazil. With a vision to use dance a tool of self-expression
delivered dance classes rehabilitation workshops and toured a new piece working
alongside 50 girls aged between 10-17 years.
Artist Development - New York
Inspired by a Re:Birth Dance Company performance to New York in 2008, Sara then applied and accepted into the professional division programme at The Alvin Ailey School in 2010. This unique and career shifting opportunity enabled her to expand her training in Modern dance techniques such as Horton, Graham and Jazz.
